As ship recycling require enough strength and employees sometimes get exhausted while working. We have special arrangements for such scenarios. We, do have mandatory health certificate requirement whenever an employee is hired. With a specific passage of time, employee’s health checkup plans are executed. We do have onboard occupational health center for basic health facilities and special check-up centers for particular check-ups such as eyesight requirement for crane drivers, and so on. All necessary arrangements for an emergency like visiting doctor, ambulance, stretchers, medical kits, etc are easily available.
Environment and safety are essential concerns for ship recycling facility which is done through multiple processes. For fire safety, integrated fire systems are available. Recycling will include people from different countries with different localities. Hence, necessary instructions are presented using appropriate signages. Guidelines and information are provided in multiple languages to benefit local and international. With the help of technology, machinery is updated to ensure safety as much as possible. Special training is arranged and executed for employees to work with the latest machinery. Every equipment does have a specific flyer for processing and operating as a manual for help. Employees are trained with periodic fire drills to make them able to handle fire-related emergency and procedures. Few task-specific activities require specific training for labors. Simulated training models are also available.
Medicine and Bio-hazardous materials are removed and directly disposed of. Specific contracts are assigned for gaseous waste storage. Rubber plastic, Glasswool, Thermocol have specific waste storage. The specific area is provided for an individual process.
